Anheuser-Busch Beer Factory

アンハイザー・ブッシュビール工場にて

[Note] If this page is too small to be readable, please enlarge it to 120-125%. Thank you.

In the afternoon, we went to the Anheuser-Busch Brewery in St. Louis to join in the factory tour.

This is the visitor center of the bud factory. The factory tour starts here.

An open-air beer restaurant is just by the side of the visitor center building. Interesting.

About a half of the entrance hall is used as an exhibition space for the brewery's history. This is a panel that tells about Budweiser clydesdale horses. Clydesdales are work horses that used to pull beer wagons for the delivery of Budweiser. Today, the horses are a mascot animal for the Anheuser Busch Brewery. They are so popular that tons of communities in U.S. want to invite them for their special events.

Clydesdales have big and strong feet. Look how big their horseshoe is, compared to a normal horse shoe.

The tour has started. The first destination is a clydesdale stable.

Look! This is that world famous clydesdale! See its big white feet! I have never seen a beautiful horse like this.

These are tractor-trailers epecifically for carrying clydesdales to anywhee in the U.S. for a variety of community events.

The stable is just around the corner!

The entrance of the clydesdale stable. Look up the clydesdale face relief on the right side of the entrance.

This is one of the restored Budweiser wagons that were used to deliver Bud beer in the old days. The shiny red paint is very impressive.

The side view of the same wagon.

Tens of clydesdales are well taken care of at this stable. Each horse has a human-like name like Bob. They are gentle and calm.

This is a clydesdale harness. Its total weight is 130 pounds or 59 kgs, The size of a collar is tailored for each horse.
